Senior Elsevier Columnist Falls for ISIS-Snowden Hoax (Joop, The Netherlands)
Afshin Ellian, who among other things is a staunch critic of Iran, has fallen for a story spread by one of Iran's state news agencies, IRNA , which long ago was refuted as fiction. Fact-and-fiction-conjurer Ellian has hit hard at Snowden since he made those disclosures about the Dutch AIVD. He calls the whistleblower a 'fantasist' and 'traitor.' ... It turns out there are more idiots in the media than Ellian thought ... and which he can now count himself among.

The
Netherlands - Elsevier - Original Article (Dutch)
Afshin Ellian, the leading columnist of opinion site
Elsevier, was taken in by the fictitious story that NSA whistleblower Edward
Snowden called the creation of the Islamic State a plot by Israel. After it was
discovered, the site hastily removed the passage without warning or
explanation.
The blunder was spotted by Bright :
"In an article on the news magazine's Web site, he [Afshin Ellian ] argues that
Snowden is doing the bidding of Russian authorities." Snowden regularly
appears in media providing a service to his Russian bosses making bizarre and
unsubstantiated statements,” said Ellian . "Last
year he said in an interview with Iran state media that Islamic State (IS) was
invented by Israel."
Ellian ,
who among other things is a staunch critic of Iran, has therefore fallen for a
story spread by one of Iran's state news agencies, IRNA , which long ago was refuted
as fiction. Fact-and-fiction-conjurer Ellian has hit hard
at Snowden since he made those disclosures about the Dutch AIVD .
He calls the whistleblower a "fantasist" and "traitor."
