Iraqis march in favor of the Status of Forces
Agreement with the

Baghdad, Nov. 23. The deal, which would make
legal the continued presence of U.S. forces in
Iraq, is now under

Obama's recent
victory and the advent of the Democratic Party to power in the United States
have created radical changes on the Iraqi political landscape that could lead
to disaster for everyone - but especially the Kurdish parties.
The Democratic
Party stood against George W. Bush in regard to the liberation of Iraq from the
criminal regime of Saddam Hussein, and Obama promised during the campaign to
withdraw U.S. forces within 16 months. Even if the Security Agreement is
signed, with the economic crisis and America's immediate need to divert more
money to its domestic needs, the timetable for withdrawal could be accelerated.
And there's always the chance that Obama won't consider himself bound by the
deal and will cancel or decide not to implement it.

As far as America
is concerned, militarily and economically, Iraq as a whole isn't important.
Continued engagement is a loosing proposition for the United States. There are
more attractive alternatives for America, for example the Gulf countries and
Turkey, where there are already U.S. military bases. And as for oil, the
Americans can always obtain that from the Gulf nations or others.
Based on all
this, the position of the Kurds appears extremely weak and chaotic. They are
confronting a real dilemma after the departure of the Bush Administration and
the arrival of Obama, who isn't prepared to attend to Iraq's problems at the
expense of the domestic challenges in the United States. Economically and
politically, what is the value of the Kurds to the United States? Of course,
the answer is that they have none. And the Democrats, being a party with
liberal leanings, oppose the clannishness and chauvinism of the Kurdish
national parties.
Supporters
of Shiite Cleric Muqtada al-Sadr converge on Firdous
Square
in Baghdad for a mass prayer to protest the U.S.-Iraq
Status
of Forces Agreement, Nov. 21.
Given these
political variables, this would seem like a great opportunity for Iraqi
Shiites, Sunnis, Turkmen and Christians to close ranks and strike a fatal blow
against the Kurdish parties - and not the Kurdish people - and expel the
Kurdish politicians from Baghdad and purge them from the government and
National Assembly. They should also proclaim the independence of the cities of
Irbil, Dohouk and Suleymaniah,
along with Iraqi Government recognition of an independent Kurdish state,
thereby severing all forms of financial, political and bureaucratic association
with it.
The Kurdish
parties are a dangerous and lasting enemy of the Iraqi state. After the fall of
the criminal Saddam, the Kurds obtained more than their fair share of rights
and their hatred for the Iraqi people came out into the open. This has shown
that their problem wasn't with the previous regime, but the hatred they feel
for all Iraqis. Despite all of the good things and benefits they were granted
from Iraq, they have continued to plot against our country day and night.

Iraq gleans no
benefit whatsoever from the Kurds. They are a political and economic burden. It
would be foolish to bear the weight of five million Kurds who have absolutely
no loyalty to Iraq. The plots and malice of the Kurds are clear for all to see,
and every noble Iraqi should firmly oppose them and amputate this cancer from
the body of our nation, since we don't want them living among us and enjoying
our wealth while plotting against us.

I so admire the
writings of Khadir Taahar!
This writer raves with such frankness and clarity, and never shies away from
shocking the reader with his contrarian beliefs - whether he (the reader) be
left-wing, right-wing or independent. For him, all that matters is that the
reader be an Iraqi. Why? Because regardless of their
religious denominations or particular beliefs, Iraqis are uncomfortable with
the international brand known as the “United States of America.”
Posted by WORLDMEETS.US
To say: “They are
uncomfortable” in a polite and civilized way is not to say: “They hate or are
resentful,” since I don’t wish to annoy Khadir Taahar - who is more American than the Americans and even
more than Bush, Cheney, Rice or Gates. He is more part of the American
intelligence apparatus than the men of CIA and more Jewish than the Jews
(remember his Kitabat article from April 15th 2007,
in which he called for establishing friendly relations with Israel so that it
could take part in rebuilding Iraq!)
I like the work
of this writer because he isn’t ashamed or embarrassed to express his ideas and
political views clearly and honestly and he isn’t afraid of critics of his
writings. Nor does he feel the need to respect the feelings of other Iraqis,
who take umbrage at his favorite leaders, the Americans, who have inflicted
death, destruction and ruin upon them in the service of Israel and her future
security, and at their hands of Washington’s creation, the terrorists, who came
from abroad at the behest of their [Iraqi] allies and advisers from the former
regime.
