And just for good measure, in this clip from RT's Worlds Apart , Aidan White, Director of the London-based Ethical Journalism Network, takes on Russia Today host Oksana Boyko, in an exchange over the value of state-controlled media. White draws a clear distinction between news networks that occassionally at least, challenge their own governments, and those that almost never do. Interestingly, Boyko doesn't disagree with the assertion that Russia Today follows the Russian government narrative, but seeks to demonstrate the value of doing so:
