A graphic at the Korea War Memorial Museum in Seoul shows

anticipated damage if a one megaton nuclear weapon were to

be detonated over the city - 10 to 12 million casualties and the

destruction of up to 90 percent of buildings. The device tested

by the North in February is estimated to be 6 to 7 megatons.

'Master and Stooge' Conspire to Trigger Second Korean War (Rodong Sinmun, North Korea)

Is the United States using its Korean War playbook to grab control over the South Korea military and launch an all-out war on the North? According to this commentary from North Korea's state-run Rodong Sinmun, a new document signed by Washington and Seoul allows America to create the conditions under which an 'all-out nuclear war' under full American command can be launched.

The United States recently signed a plan with its south Korean stooges to "jointly cope with local provocations." The keynote of the document is to enable the aggression army of the United States along with the south Korean puppet army to counter someone's local provocation. The moment the plan was made public, great apprehension began to emerge both on and off of the Korean Peninsula.

With this plan, the United States seeks to restore to itself peacetime military command from its south Korean puppets, thus further tightening its control over south Korea and providing it a better foothold for provoking a nuclear war on the Peninsula. the most ridiculous aspect of the scheme is that Washington is advertising it as a measure to reduce the likelihood of war.

[Editor's Note: For South Korea's reaction to this agreement, read: Deal Calls for 'Early' U.S. Intervention After North Korea Provocation (The Hankyoreh, South Korea)].

Years ago, after handing peacetime military command back to its south Korean puppets, America had no cause to meddle in armed clashes between north and south. Now, however, the U.S. again has a legal and institutional mechanism to intervene in any such armed conflict.

This new and aggressive document specifically outlines how the south Korean puppet forces and America's aggression army can jointly expand a local clash into an all-out war, and the ways their forces and operations will involve themselves in various methods of war provocation.

Lurking in the background is America's sinister plot: In the event that south Korea's puppet forces kick off a provocation, the U.S. warmongers would avail themselves of the chance to launch an all-out nuclear war, mobilizing all their forces on the mainland and across the Pacific.

Just like during the Korean War, the U.S. instigated south Korea's puppet clique run by Syngman Rhee to engage in armed provocations along the 38th parallel, and then hurled its aggression army into the Korean front. Today, the United States seeks to depict its scheme in a more premeditated and acceptable manner.

U.S. strategic nuclear missiles on mainland Korea are prepared to strike the DPRK, and from across the Pacific, its nuclear strike forces are amassing in and around south Korea.

The ominous comments made by trigger-happy elements in south Korea confirm the truth behind this new aggressive document of war. But America has no monopoly on this option.

If the provocateurs do manage to ignite a war, the army and people of the DPRK will utterly destroy the aggressors, their facilities and their bases.
