North Koreans hold a mass rally in Pyongyang in March, which

undoubtedly bears a striking resemblance to the one held June

U.N. Sanctions On North Korea 'Cooked Up' By U.S. Imperialists

Are the Russians and Chinese now the imperialist lackeys of the United States? That's the implication of this 'news item' from North Korea's obsessively state-controlled media. According to this article from the Korean Central News Agency, if the United States or its 'lackeys' attempt to enforce last week's U.N. Security Council resolution calling for inspections of North Korean vessels:

"The KPA will deal telling blows at America's vital parts and wipe out all of its imperialist aggressor troops no matter where they are in the world."

The 'Brilliant Comrade': This is the latest photo of Kim Jong-un, the third child of Kim Jong-il and, according to news reports, the person chosen by Kim Jong-il to succeed him as leader of the Hermit Kingdom. This photo was taken when he was about 16. He is now said to be about 26.

Pyongyang: A rally was held at Kim Il-sung Square on Monday to denounce the U.N. Security Council's "resolution on sanctions," cooked up at the instigation of the U.S. imperialists.

Attending the rally were senior Communist Party, army and state officials, the chairman of a friendly party, officials from labor organizations, national institutions, servicepersons, young people, students and people from all walks of life - over 100,000 in all.

Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Ki-nam, delivered a speech in which he said that at the instigation of the United States, the U.N. Security Council has adopted another grave provocation - an anti-DPRK "resolution on sanctions" in response to its second nuclear test. In essence, Kim Ki-nam said, this is a wicked offensive by the U.S. imperialists to disarm the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, strangle its economy and undermine its ideology and system.

The U.N. Security Council's "resolution on sanctions" is an intolerable mockery of the dignity of the Korean people and an arrogant criminal act that wantonly violated its sovereignty.

The DPRK has so far done what it must, despite the never-ending "sanctions" on the part of the imperialist allied forces. But far from "weakening" it, these "sanctions" have driven the DPRK to augment its national power. This proves beyond doubt that no anti-DPRK sanctions racket by the enemy is feasible, and that it's ridiculous and foolish for America to try and bring down the DPRK through "sanctions."

If they persist in stifling and piling sanctions on the DPRK, misjudging the tough stand taken by the army and people of the DPRK as "brinkmanship," these hostile forces will sustain an even more bitter setback and defeat

No matter how desperately the American imperialists and other hostile forces work to isolate and blockade the DPRK, which is a fully-fledged nuclear weapon state, the DPRK will remain unfazed. If the enemies are foolish enough to attempt a blockade, the DPRK will respond with resolute and deadly blows, considering it an act of war.

Kim Jong-il talks things over with military officials somewhere in

North Korea this year - according to the North Koran media.

The DPRK will steadily advance along the path of independence that it has chosen and will win final victory in its confrontation with the United States, whether or not it has flanks or international aid.

Pak Jae-gyong, vice minister of the People's Armed Forces, who spoke on behalf of the Korean People's Army, vehemently denounced the U.N. Security Council "resolution" as a serious provocation and a wanton violation of the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK and its people.

He warned that the Korean People's Army, with powerful retaliatory blows, will mercilessly frustrate any attempt to check, inspect, examine and blockade DPRK ships or vehicles on which the sovereignty of the DPRK is exercised.

UNDATED COMPILATION OF NORTH KOREAN DEMONSTRATIONS

Pak pointed out that in the current situation, since the Armistice Agreement has lost all of its legal binding force and under which the Korean People's Army is still technically at war with the American imperialists, the KPA will exercise the right to a preemptive strike to beat back the slightest provocation of the enemy. The KPA will deal telling blows to America's vital parts and wipe out all of its imperialist aggressor troops no matter where they are in the world.

The Japanese militarists and the Lee Myung-bak group of traitors [reference to the current South Korean administration] and other lackeys of the U.S. imperialists should stop running wild, since they are fully aware that if they continue in their reckless fashion, they will never be able to escape the stern punishment of the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK.

Then the floor was taken by representatives of industrial laborers, agricultural workers, intellectuals and youth and students.
