Growing Signs
of America's 'Inevitable Fall from Grace' (Al Rai,
Jordan)
"A quick glance at what is happening across the world indicates quite clearly that America's fall from grace is inevitable, because it has failed to learn from the series of events it experienced before. It has failed to learn even a single lesson
from its misadventures, starting with its defeat in and pullout from Vietnam,
where it lost more than 65,000 soldiers, all the way to its failure to achieve
what it hoped for in Afghanistan."
King Abdullah II of Jordan rides the tiger: Having signed on to allowing American troops to deploy to his country in order to prepare for action in the Syria crisis, he is taking a lot of heat from Jordanians, who are predominantly Palestinian.
Is America paying a price simply for being on top of the
heap in a unipolar world? Is that why it is being confronted by violence,
rejection and hatred from most other states - including those closest to it? Is
it paying a price for mismanagement, abuse of power and its own arrogance and
recklessness, which grew out of a sense superiority, and which have resulted in
a loss of control and a snowball effect of ever-growing hatred and adversaries?
Is that why there are a growing number of plots, both from abroad and at home,
to bring down a nation that up to now, has been number one - and has failed to
grasp that compared to reaching the summit of the world, staying there is far
more difficult?!
Just to be clear, the source of these problems
and crisis is Washington itself. As it has sought ever-greater control and
hegemony, things have begun to get complicated. In matters it considers crucial
to its standing and survival, the world's leading nation has slowly begun to get
overwhelmed.
A quick glance at what is happening across the world indicates quite clearly that America's fall from grace is inevitable, because it has failed to learn from the series of events it experienced before. It has
failed to learn even a single lesson from its misadventures, starting with its
defeat in and pullout from Vietnam, where it lost more than 65,000 soldiers, all
the way to its failure to achieve what it hoped for in Afghanistan, where it
has begun to round up its forces, leaving behind many losses, the biggest of
which is its incapacity to face her naysayers and impose its policies in Kabul
itself. In all seriousness, this contributes greatly to its loss of
international prestige.

In Iraq, while America has successfully withdrawn its
forces, this was in fact an indication of defeat. And up to now, in Palestine,
one cannot say that it has been capable up upholding international justice.
Every day and every hour, as it commits itself to protecting the security of the
state of Israel, the Hebrew state's whose own journey toward collapse has begun,
even if it adheres to this failed policy as though it were some kind of astrological
fantasy.
In the Korean crisis, America has found itself entangled in
policies leading it closer to another military eruption to which it will be a
party, either through miscalculation or a failure to properly manage the
crisis. In Iran, America finds itself up to its neck in contradictions, the
fallout of which cannot be predicted.
Despite all of all of its deceitful attempts to distance
itself from its actions in Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Tunisia, and Syria, the smell
and American intervention is suffocating.
Secretary of State John Kerry has now returned to the region, preceded by a bundle
of news and leaks which emphasize that his brief case is bereft of any solutions;
and his statements, which were repeats of his boss's previous statements,
confirmed his country's absolute commitment to the security, safety,
superiority and hegemony of Israel in the region.
I really don't know if America became entangled in these
failed - even fatal - practices out of arrogance or recklessness. But in any
case, both are dangerous and lethal to it.
