We live in a time when most
Arab regimes are retreating from their responsibility to the Palestinian cause
- even though they are the regimes directly responsible for the Nakbaof 1948, the catastrophe of 1967 and
their adherence to the notorious Arab initiative being pursued since 2002,
which calls for reneging on the right of return for
Palestinian refugees; when the Zionist entity has been recognized by 22 Arab
countries and 57 Islamic states as it plots the continued blockade of a million
and a half Palestinians in the Gaza strip; when Eastern Jerusalem is being
abandoned, along with the Al
Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the
Resurrection in West Jerusalem; when Abbas, who is supposed to be have the confidence
of these regimes, says before 30 leaders of AIPAC in the U.S. Jewish
community: “I do not deny the right of the Jewish people to live in the land of
Israel!,” which reminds us of the Balfour Promise
a century ago.

We also live in a time when
some call for a Palestinian State based on the 1967
border, which would include a "settler-state of 550,000" between the
West Bank and East Jerusalem, while others believe in creating a state in the West
Bank and Gaza only [without East Jerusalem], afterFatah gave up 78 percent of the
land of Palestine by recognizing U.N.
Security Resolution 242 during the 1988 Palestine National Council meeting
in Algeria.

the ninety-year-old, who represents United Press International at the White
House, who always sat in the front row and asked the first question of ten
American presidents from Kennedy to Obama, told a Jewish rabbi directly,
"Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine.” When she was asked “Do you have
any better comments,” she answered, “Remember these people are occupied and
it's their land, it's not Germany and it's not Poland.” After being asked where
she wanted the Israelis should go, she responded, “they should go home … to Poland,
Germany and America and everywhere else.”
Thomas put her finger on the
root cause of the Palestinian issue and uttered the truth! The Palestinian
people spoke the truth before she did, when they stood up against the Balfour Promise
in 1917; during the Barraq Revolution of 1929;theQassam Revolutionof 1935; the strike and revolution
of 1936;the Islamic
Jihad with Abd
al-Qadir al-Husayni and others in
1948; the first shot fired by Fatah in 1965 in an attempt to liberate the territory
in 1948; the Intifada of 1987 triggered by Hamas and others; and when Fatah proclaimed
continuous resistance and certified in its charter that Palestine is an Islamic
holy land; as well as the intensified Al-Aqsa Intifada in
2000 and other jihad and resistance operations to steadfastly hold on to
Palestine. That means all of Palestine and Jerusalem in the same way that the
Algerian resistance held on to all of Algeria and the French colonialists returned
home after 132 years in their country.
