With Security Deal, U.S. Distracts Attention from Oil Agreement
"Suddenly, people have
forgotten about it, and many don't know or recall what became of the deal,
which would "organize" the theft and looting of Iraq's oil wealth,
offering unprecedented legitimacy to thievery in broad daylight."

The invader-American
administration and its local government in Iraq, continue a step by step
strategy that was inaugurated by Henry Kissinger on the Egyptian front during [former
Egyptian President] Sadat's administration. Sadat was killed in 1981, and whatever
his agenda may have been, he was used by the Zionist enemy against
Palestinians to dismantle and fragment the political agenda and isolate Arabs
from one another.
After Iraqis and Arabs argued
for months about an oil agreement ,
the issue seems to have been "lost." Suddenly, people have forgotten about
it, and many don't know or recall what became of the deal, which would "organize"
the theft and looting of Iraq's oil wealth, offering unprecedented legitimacy
to thievery in broad daylight.
[Editor's Note: It might
surprise people to know that the Iraq Oil Law, which was such a hot topic of
debate last year - still hasn't been passed by the Iraqi National Assembly. So
far, only a small number of piecemeal one- and two-year oil agreements have
been reached ].
These days,
Iraqis and Arabs are busy with another serious agreement [the U.S.-Iraq Status
of Forces Agreement], which in practical terms puts Iraq in the worst possible
position and threatens one of the nation's major sectors, not to mention
turning the country into a source of regional and international tension by
threatening blackmail against its neighbors.
Certainly the security agreement,
which has averted people's attention from the oil agreement, won't be the last.
And we don't know what to expect from further agreements that will serve to
distract people from the oil agreement.

The hacks and opportunistic politicians,
journalists and intellectuals will continue their all-too-transparent game of
allowing this agreement to pass in the name of the balance of power,
rationality and the best of a number of evil options. They are incapable of
expressing an independent opinion. They are dirty, defeatist and conformist -
and conduct themselves this way for a fee. They don't have the slightest morality,
nationalism or concern for fellow Arabs.
Finally, there should be no
doubt that the Iraqi people - who pulled together the fastest resistance movement
in history - even now bring suffering to the occupying enemy. By his own
statistics - and these are not the statistics cited by the resistance - about
50,000 people have been killed, wounded, disabled or have gone insane and committed
suicide. The resistance is capable of shooting down this agreement just as it
shot down such agreements in the days of the British occupation and the successive
governments they imposed.
