No Sympathy for the
American Devil
It would
appear from this angry article in Iran's rigidly state-controlled Kayhan
newspaper, that when it suits its own interests, the leadership in Tehran
condones listening to the music of the Rolling Stones. With allusions to
the all-seeing-eye of the Freemasons and a section on how Americans abuse women,
this is the regime's latest verbal assault on the United States.

We allowed it to introduce
itself - and it was neither of wealth nor taste. It hadn't even been around a
long, long time - but it has laid many souls to waste.
In thirty years, the Great
Satan has come full circle, emerging severely wounded militarily, financially
and politically. The trail of blood from its bleeding wounds stretches half way
around the world. In the final hours of its death a throe it lashes out at
every nation and inflicts misery on all - because that is the very basis of its
existence.
Cruelty, corruption, crime
and carnage make up the four pillars of its throne and its talk is filled with
hateful insinuations, intolerance, libel and accusations. The last leg of the
Great Satan’s excellent adventure must be drawing very close.
The Great Satan is being
punished by the Almighty for all the trouble and pain it has caused. In Vietnam
it was defeated by the sheer will of an impoverished yet determined nation. In
Iraq it was driven from every town and city in shame. And in Afghanistan it
cannot find respite long enough to lick its wounds.

All is far from ideal for the
Great Satan’s schemes and ploys.
It has taken to oppressing
its domain’s dissenters by remaining silent about the sheer number of casualties
among its mercenary ranks. Its flying machines come crashing down and dozens
more of its evil minions and hypnotized helpers die. Yet the world hears
nothing of the infected wounds of the Great Satan’s forces.
The eye in the
pyramid [left] is blind to the economic disaster that will soon whiplash
its markets like a dragon’s tail. The eye in the pyramid no longer sees as far
as Russia, China, Iran and South America.
The Great Satan is $56
trillion short and the dollar itself stopped being real money in 1971. In the innards
of the Great Satan’s caves deep underground, keeping the machines and printing presses
going day and night are the slaves to its cause - those who sold their souls to
continue their futile efforts to save the beast.
Two out of every three
children born in the land of the Great Satan don't grow up with their
biological fathers. Women are painted, abused and discarded in servitude while
living out meaningless lives. But every now and then the Great Satan’s
mouthpieces hail a victory for feminism as they prop up a female writer of
titillating tales, or indeed a scientist whose achievement will be utilized to
bring death to people living within the kingdom of God.
The Great Satan’s scientists
bombed the moon the other day, but the pretext was lost amid its howls of
technological achievement.
There is something absolutely
absurd about the Great Satan’s beckoning call. Its tales and justifications
make no sense if studied, leading nowhere, as full of inaccuracies and
contradictions as they are.
Where is freedom in all this
chaos? Why has the gentle face of human freedom and dignity been so cruelly distorted
and misrepresented? Why should deviants present the facade of human freedom while
truly free men and women suffer the consequences?
Now that he has paved
paradise to build a parking lot, all is far from well in the Great Satan’s
Safari park.
