As Assad Kills His Own, Israel Moves Freely Across the Sky (All4Syria, Syria)

"For everything Israel has done, it was and remains the number one enemy of the Syrian people. But by exercising the military option, Israel has been able to do what the entire world and the Arabs with them have been unable to do. ... Even after raids that targeted the heart of the Syrian capital and elite troops, the Assad regime continues to assert its right to retaliate at the proper time and place. Meanwhile, the regime is always quick to retaliate against its own people with every type of heavy weapon for the act of holding peaceful demonstrations demanding freedom and dignity!!"

ISRAEL NATIONAL TV: Israeli Air Force commander: 'Syria is in the process of disintegration,' Jan. 30, 00:02:34RealVideo

After the usual condemnation, denunciation disapproval, let's try something new.

Let us ask what the goals were of Israel's raids on Damascus in the early hours of Sunday morning. It seems Israel wanted to direct several messages to the regime and its allies.

The first message is for Russia, which hinders military action at the U.N. Security Council. The message is that Israel can carry out raids and strike militarily any time it likes - and not be held back by any supposed international accountability. The argument for this attack is Israeli security - preventing weapons from reaching Lebanese Hezbullah. Therefore, it may be that Israel will carry out such raids over and over again.

The second message, blessed by the United States and with indirect backing from the international community, is aimed at the Syrian regime and its allies: The military option is and remains on the table and can be acted on anytime and anywhere - including in the heart of Damascus and across the entire width and breadth of Syria. The aim here may be to raise the pressure on Damascus to accept negotiations on a transfer of power by letting it be known that forces is very close at hand.

The third message is likely directed at the Syrian political system after the fall of Assad, which is: "We are capable of intervening militarily any time we like, and we demand the necessary security guarantees from the political arrangement after Assad - who kept absolute quite on the Golan front for more than four decades."

We can accept or reject these messages, in part or in sum!!

But for everything Israel has done, it was and remains the number one enemy of the Syrian people. But by exercising the military option, Israel has been able to do what the entire world and the Arabs with them have been unable to do. Are the supporters and allies of this regime still convinced by the big lie of how the regime opposed and resists Israel?

This is a regime that continues to assert the right to respond to four decades of Israeli aggression against Syrian soil, which have happened again and again during the eras of Assad the father and Assad the son!

And last but not least, even after raids that targeted the heart of the Syrian capital and centers of elite troops, causing the deaths of hundreds of soldiers in minutes, the Assad regime continues to assert its right to retaliate at the proper time and place. Meanwhile, the regime is always quick to retaliate against its own people with every type of heavy weapon for the act of holding peaceful demonstrations demanding freedom and dignity!!
