In an imperialist culture based in the notion of economic supremacy above all, the institution of the presidency (like Hollywood) is a purely theatrical affair used primarily to “set the stage” for the ideology of planetary domination that it inspires.

 

Thus, the North American leader, even if he's Black, will always be provided with the “props” that the “backdrop” requires. The imposing “Air Force One” (not one, but several), the armored limousines, the immaculate presidential residence and the majestic oval office are just symbols of power - talisman to provide the appearance of invincibility that must be associated with empire and will always bring pleasure to those who somehow profess the naive conviction that its conduct complies with the sublime ritual of the exercise of democracy - which Americans believe is inextricably linked with their great nation. It's no matter, of course, that millions of people (including civilians and soldiers of their own country) comprise the horrific trail of misery, death, and desolation left in Washington's wake - and which their freedom is enshrined upon.

 

But to what degree is the President of the most powerful nation on earth actually in charge of the immense intelligence and espionage structures that have been built by this imperialist culture? As is known, during the administration of George H.W. Bush (CIA director under Ronald Reagan), the budget for intelligence agencies multiplied immensely, fundamentally with the idea of supporting the work of intervention and destabilizing the entire planet.

Today there is no denying the massive development that these agencies underwent during the “reign” of his ineffable son, George Walker Bush (who like a reborn John Wayne), put his government at the center of this insane nonsense.

 

Will Obama ever come to know in a clear and concise way this complex system of espionage, based on spinning lies and deceit and constructing pretexts and scenarios so that even the most high-ranking officials of this empire remain in the shadows? Will the empire turn over all of this power to a rookie of African descent?
