The American 'Knesset'
is More Extreme than Israel's!
"Given the disjointed nature of Netanyahu's insolent speech, he may need to seek the aid of a psychoanalyst. … Meanwhile, because the U.S. Congress knows the fate of those who oppose Israel, it was as though he was addressing hypnotized people who would have applauded an insult to George Washington."
Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu delivers a speech to a joint session of the U.S. Congress, during which he was interrupted for applause over 30 times. Netanyahu rejected the use of Israel's 1967 borders as a basis for talks with the Palestinians.
Even before
Netanyahu's speech before the "American Knesset," we said in an article that it would
be pointless to expect any change in the American arena, as they are extremists
who hold enmity in their hearts. Indeed, the Israeli Knesset is less extreme
than the U.S. Congress. Let us work on the Israeli front and especially with
Israeli parties to persuade them that building more settlements would be
fruitless in the face of the Arab revolutions. One can hope that the coming deluge
will persuade Israelis of the need to move toward a just peace.
Given the disjointed nature
of Netanyahu's insolent speech, he may need to seek the aid of a psychoanalyst.
He contradicted himself even within the same sentence or phrase. Meanwhile,
because they know the fate of those who oppose Israel, it was as though he was addressing
hypnotized people who would have applauded an insult to George Washington; none
wanted to end up like the Jewish activist now
sitting in a hospital bed. If Netanyahu had called for a vote
of no confidence in President Obama and for himself to be inaugurated president
in his place, they would have applauded him and cheerfully bowed.
Netanyahu is a former furniture
salesman who lived in the United States. He sold Congress a bill of goods, who bought them without bargaining. Any careful observer of the scene in Congress
would have vomited. The representatives and senators lost all sense of dignity,
looking like an even more extreme mob than the Knesset, applauding Netanyahu's every utterence, like numbskulls.
The disgraceful applause and
31 shameful standing ovations are like a hemorrhoid; Zionist piles which should
be viewed by the United Nations next September [during voting on the recognition of
a Palestinian State], to help the international community deliver its verdict on
the U.S. occupation of Palestinian land and its support for settlements, murder,
and displacement.

We must show the clip of
Netanyahu's speech in Tahrir Square, rallies in Yemen and Tunis and the cities
of Syria, so that the Arab uprisings aren't misled by America's hypocritical
position. Showing this speech might force Arabs away from U.S. attempts to
contain and tame the uprisings for the benefit of Israel.
This blindly
biased and indiscriminate support for the occupation won't harm us, because
Netanyahu gave the Americans two options - either Obama or himself. Peace will have
the last word, even if there is a Palestinian war first. The Israeli people
should not be tricked by the revolting American applause, because it will be
them who will pay with blood for the export of American extremism and hostility
toward all Arab peoples.
