U.S., Japan and South Korean 'Traitors' Had Best Act with Discretion

Are Seoul and Washington planning to invade North Korea, and/or shoot down its 'peaceful' communications satellite? As the annual U.S.-South Korea war exercises get under way across the South - and with Pyongyang apparently planning to launch a missile to celebrate the 'election' of Dear Leader Kim Jong-il - tensions on the Korean Peninsula are at their highest in years. In part as a response to reports that the U.S. or Japan might shoot down any such missile/satellite, North Korea's strictly-controlled state news agency reports on a statement issued by North Korea's military command on Monday:

"If the enemies recklessly decide to intercept our satellite, our revolutionary armed forces will launch a just retaliatory strike without hesitation - not only against all means of interception, but against the strongholds of those who hatched the plot - the American and Japanese aggressors and their south Korean puppets. Shooting down our peaceful satellite will precisely mean a war."

Kim Jong-il casts his ballot for assembly elections at Kim Il-sung Political University in Pyongyang, Mar. 8. When the North's rubber-stamp parliament convenes in the coming weeks, it will be to re-elect Kim as chairman of the National Defense Commission. Most analysts of the region think it's likely that the regime will 'celebrate' by test-launching its longest-range missile, the Taepodong-2. The North claims that it will be launching a communications satellite, but the U.S., Japan and Korea believe it to be a 'missile test.'

Pyongyang: Because the bellicose group behind the traitorous Lee Myung-bak [South Korea's president] has colluded with the U.S. imperialists and has embarked on the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint war exercises against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea DPRK, despite the repeated warnings of the Korea People's Army [KPA], a spokesman for the General Staff of the KPA issued the following statement on Monday:

A carrier task force, strategic bomber corps and other major military assets of the U.S. imperialist aggressor have been deployed in south Korea and its vicinity - and the armed forces of the three services of the puppet army have begun exercises for a war of aggression against the DPRK.

[Editor's Note: The news agencies of Kim Jong-il's regime refer to South Korea as "south Korea," as an apparent slight to its standing as a separate nation.]

Not content with claiming that the DPRK should "dismantle its nuclear weapons first," the U.S. and Japanese aggressors and the Lee Myung-bak group of traitors have begun war exercises and have mobilized ambitious ground and coastal interceptor operations in a bid to prevent the DPRK from launching a satellite for peaceful purposes.

Given the grave situation and to protect the supreme interests of the country and nation from the reckless and aggressive moves by these war maniacs, the KPA General Staff solemnly declares as follows:

1. With prompt and merciless military action, our revolutionary armed forces will counter even the slightest hostile act of the enemy, including any operations that violate the sovereignty of the country or which intrude on its inviolable territory, territorial waters and territorial airspace.

It is the invariable stand of our revolutionary armed forces to fully prepare for an all-out confrontation and to deny any adversary the capacity to intrude on even .1 millimeter of our territory, territorial waters or territorial airspace.

2. We will promptly retaliate with counter-strikes by the most powerful military means against any actions taken to intercept our satellite, which is designed for peaceful purposes.

If the enemies recklessly decide to intercept our satellite, our revolutionary armed forces will launch a just retaliatory strike without hesitation - not only against all means of interception, but against the strongholds of those who hatched the plot - the American and Japanese aggressors and their south Korean puppets. Shooting down our peaceful satellite will precisely mean a war.

3. As an immediate measure, we will take much tougher military control over areas being jointly managed between North and South in the East and West Sea [aka/the Sea of Japan and the Yellow Sea] while the war exercises targeting the DPRK are under way.

RUSSIA TODAY REPORT ON NORTH KOREA TENSION

At a time when the south Korean puppets are frantic with the above-said war exercises, leveling guns at their fellow countrymen and are in league with foreign forces, it would be nonsensical to maintain normal communications. Accordingly, our army will cut all military communications - the last channel that exists between north and the south, starting on March 9.

The traitorous Lee Myung-bak and the U.S. and Japanese aggressors would be well advised to behave with discretion.
