The Mahdi is
Reappearing to Rid World of 'Devils in Human Form'
Is it time to prepare ourselves for the reaapearance of the Muslim messiah/aka the Mahdi - along with Jesus Christ, who it appears will be assisting with the Mahdi's work? According to this column from Iran's state-run Kayhan, today is the Mahdi's birthday, and unless you are the Great Satan or one of those other devils in human form, it is time to rejoice and prepare for 'a global government of peace, prosperity, and justice.'
Cain, a crop farmer, slays his younger brother Abel, who was a shepherd. The tale of the brothers, who according to the Quran and Old Testament were the sons of Adam and Eve, is an archetypical story of fratricide among Jews, Christians and Muslims.
"Before this, we wrote
in the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): My servants the righteous shall
inherit the earth." (Holy Quran 21:105).
Whatever God has promised is
the absolute truth, and whether one likes it or not, it will come to pass. In
other words, after all it has been through since Cain killed his brother
Abel; after all the tyrants which have terrorized mankind in every age and
clime; after all the uses of weapons of mass destruction like the atomic bomb so
criminally dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki; our planet will one day witness peace
prosperity and justice.
Does that mean that devils in
human form, who are responsible for mankind's past, present and future misery, will
have a sudden change of heart and give up their evil pursuit of war, exploitation,
and corruption, and become virtuous servants of God?
That would be nothing but a
naive assumption - particularly in this age of scientific confusion, when, as a
result of a loss of morals, ethics, faith, spirituality and humanitarian values,
people doubt their own divine existence.
A closer scrutiny of the words
of God, especially those in the Holy Quran - regarded by us Muslims as the
final and universally-applicable scripture of heaven for all mankind since it
was revealed to the last and greatest of messengers, the Prophet Muhammad (Peace
Be Upon Him) - reveals that a divinely guided reformer is needed if humanity is
to be salvaged and led toward perfection.
He will not be a Prophet nor
will bring a new code of shariah.
As a matter of fact, what he will do is revive the pure and pristine shariah of
the Seal of the Messengers [another phrase referring to the word of the Prophet
Muhammad, regarded by most Muslims as not only the last prophet, but the last
messenger].
President Ahmadinejad explains why America attacked Iraq:
To prevent the emergence of the Mahdi, in May 2008.
This is the reason he [this reformer]
is called the Mahdi or divinely
guided. And this is the reason Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) emphasized that this
person would be from among his infallible progeny, as all denominations of
Islam believe.
For instance a hadith [saying] of the Prophet,
mentioned in the Isbaat al-Huda [a book] of the great Shiite scholar Moqaddas
Ardabeli says:
"The Mahdi will be from
among my descendants, from my family, and will rise at the end of time. Rain
will pour from the heavens and green grass will grow out of the earth to
welcome him. He will fill the earth with justice and equity just as it will be
filled with tyranny and injustice before he comes."
Ibn Maja, famed Sunni
compiler of the Prophet's hadiths, quotes the Prophet as saying:
“The promised Mahdi will be
from among my family. Within a single night, God will make provision for his
emergence.”
There is therefore no doubt
that only this anticipated savior will be capable of establishing a global
government of peace, prosperity, and justice and cleanse the earth of all
vestiges of corruption and oppression.
The Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) foresaw
the havoc that would be played with the Islamic teachings by pretenders
claiming to be caliphs after his passing, who would savagely persecute his
progeny and confound the fate of Muslims. He was informed by God that his
divinely-decreed successors would court martyrdom at the hands of those who would
usurp political rule in the Muslim realm.
This is one of the reasons
God delayed the advent of the Imam Mahdi until humanity came of age and was
ready to grasp the wisdom of divine law.
Thus the Imam Mahdi needs no
introduction. He is the 12th and last successor of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He is the son of Imam Hasan
al-Askari - a fact that even Sunni scholars like Ibn Sabbagh al-Maleki
admit.
He [the Mahdi] was born on
the 15th of Sha'ban in the year 255 [of the Islamic calendar, or 869 AD] in the
city of Samarra in Iraq. His mother was the pure and pious Greek Byzantine lady
Narjes, descended on her mother’s side from Simeon, the prominent disciple
and testamentary legatee of the Prophet Jesus - who will also reappear, as all
Muslims believe. As a form of divine trial to test humanity he went into
occultation [he disappeared], and by the will of God who has saved Jesus from
crucifixion and kept him alive until this day, the Mahdi, 12th infallible successor
of the greatest prophet, will reappear to cleanse the world of all vestiges of
oppression and corruption.
The Mahdi will reappear at
the Holy Kaaba in Mecca, at
which time the entire world will be informed of his advent. He will root out
superstition and distortion by reviving the pure and pristine message of Islam
as taught by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He will proceed to Iraq, where he
will choose the city of Kufa as the seat of his global government of peace, prosperity
and justice.

The Imam Mahdi will defeat
all evil forces, deviant creeds and political systems throughout the world, and
lead humanity toward a kind of progress that is beyond the imagination.
I end this column with the
following supplication that all the faithful recite, particularly during
evenings in the month of Ramadan, to ask for the materialization of the promises
God made in the heavenly scriptures:
"O Allah, through him as
well as the clear path of your Prophet, make your religion prevail until
nothing true and genuine is concealed out of fear of any creature. O Allah, we
ardently beseech you to bring about noble government, through which you may
strengthen Islam and its followers, humble and humiliate imposters, and appoint
us to be among those who invite people to be obedient to you. Lead them along your
approved path, and grant us through that government, dignity in this world and
the hereafter."
