Is
President Obama's drive to isolate Iran and North Korea the rash act of a weak
and inexperienced American president? According to this news account from
Iran's state-run Kayhan newspaper, President Ahmadinejad has warned Obama that his
attempts to pressure NPT violators like Iran and North Korea, 'will result in
the same tooth-breaking these nations gave Bush.'"
TEHRAN: President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday that any new aggression in Gaza will mark the end
of the Zionist regime. Addressing a group of enthusiastic people in Orumiyeh on the reported Zionist preparation for a new
aggression in Gaza, he said “I advise the supporters of the Zionist regime that
if they support the fabricated regime for another strike on Gaza, Lebanon,
Palestine and Syria, they will be blacklisted by nations in the region, which
will bring them infamy and annihilation.”
He went on to warn the U.S.
administration to stop its aggression and atrocities in the region, and stop
supporting the Zionists as well as masterminding new plots, as the people in
the region are against the U.S. presence and will ultimately uproot foreign
forces from the entire region. "They've occupied the Middle East under
various excuses, when in fact they want to dominate oil, mines, and culture, as
well as governments," he said. "They established the fabricated
Zionist regime to dominate the entire Middle East and plunder its oil and
wealth."
Ahmadinejad lashed out after
the United States unveiled new limits on the use of its nuclear arsenal, but
suggested that exceptions could be made for "outliers" such as Iran
and North Korea.
"I hope these published
comments aren't true ... he (Obama) has threatened those nations that don't
submit to U.S. greed with nuclear and chemical weapons. … Be careful. If you walk
in the footsteps of Mr. George W. Bush, the response will be the same
tooth-breaking these nations gave Bush," Ahmadinejad announced to crowds
in the northwestern city of Orumieh, who cheered
"Death to America!" The speech was broadcast live on state television
In a policy shift, Washington
said on Tuesday that it would only use nuclear weapons in "extreme
circumstances," and would not attack non-nuclear states - but singled out
Iran and North Korea as exceptions. Obama has ratcheted up pressure in recent
weeks for the imposition of new sanctions against Iran for pursuing its nuclear
program. Ahmadinejad brushed off Obama's policy, attributing it to his
inexperience.

"What Mr. Obama has said,
even Mr. Bush - whose hands were smeared with the blood of nations - did
not," said the president. "We advise Mr. Obama to be careful not to
sign everything they put in front of him. Wait and weigh things a bit. Beware
that people who were bigger and stronger than you couldn't do a damned thing,"
he said.
Ahmadinejad wasn't alone in
condemning Washington's nuclear policy, which also came under attack on
Wednesday from two other top Iranian officials. Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said of the new U.S. policy supported the occupying
regime of Israel, "They use new designs for new bombs, and support Israel
which has many nuclear warheads, but on the other hand pressure Iran. This is
exactly the domineering order and oppressive dealing that Iran does not
accept," he is quoted as saying by the ILNA news agency. The
Zionist regime is the Middle East's sole, but undeclared, nuclear power - and
it has not ruled out a military strike against Iran.
